Test Design Techniques – Advanced is a practical workshop that develops your ability to apply static analysis, white box and black box techniques to code, decision logic and business processes.

About the Course

Test Design Techniques – Advanced is a tutor led workshop focused on the practical application of advanced test case design techniques and methods for measuring test coverage.

The course builds on Foundation Level knowledge and provides hands on experience in applying static analysis and structured test design techniques to example problems involving both code and business processes. Exercises are supported by model answers and the course combines instructor guidance, group work and discussion.

You will explore techniques such as control flow analysis, data flow analysis, call graph analysis, condition testing, modified condition decision coverage, multiple condition testing, path testing and use case testing.

The techniques covered align with the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 Software Testing Standards and the BCS Software Component Testing Standard. The workshop also provides guidance on selecting the most appropriate techniques for different systems, risks and testing contexts.

Course Format

The course is delivered online in English.

The workshop is delivered over two days and combines presentations, exercises, practical work and group discussions.

The course is highly interactive and uses a hands on approach that allows participants to learn from both the instructor and other attendees. Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 18 participants.
