The APMG International Change Management™ Foundation & Practitioner course combines both certification levels and provides knowledge and practical approaches for supporting successful change initiatives.

About the Course

The course covers both the Foundation and Practitioner levels of APMG International Change Management™.

At Foundation level, you will develop an understanding of organisational context, culture and change goals, as well as how people respond to change. You will also explore stakeholder engagement, communication and ways to address concerns and resistance.

At Practitioner level, you will build on this knowledge and develop your ability to apply change management techniques in practice. This includes coaching change leaders, supporting collaboration, assessing progress and helping organisations sustain and embed change.

Learning Objectives

After completing the course, you will have developed your ability to:

• Identify key aspects of an organisation’s context, culture and goals
• Recognise human responses to change and support people through the transition
• Distinguish between valid concerns and resistance and propose appropriate solutions
• Recommend actions for different change roles and support effective teamwork

• Apply coaching principles to guide and empower change leaders

Course Format

The course is delivered through self paced eLearning, allowing you to study at a time and pace that suits you.

The estimated study time is approximately 27 hours.

Who Is This Course For?

The course is suitable for professionals involved in leading, managing or supporting organisational change.

It is particularly relevant for Change Leaders, Change Managers, Organisational Development Managers, Project Managers, Programme Managers, Portfolio Managers and other change support staff.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for taking the Foundation exam.

You must pass the Foundation exam before taking the Practitioner exam.

Exams and Certification

The Foundation and Practitioner exams are optional and are not included in the course.

The Foundation exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 40 minutes. It is a closed book exam and a score of at least 50% is required to pass.

The Practitioner exam is case study based and consists of five sections. It must be completed within 2.5 hours and is open book. A score of at least 50% is required to pass.

Successful completion of both exams leads to the APMG International Change Management™ Foundation & Practitioner certifications.
