AgilePM® v3 Foundation provides a structured introduction to Agile project management, with a focus on leadership, collaboration and delivering valuable project outcomes.

About the Course

AgilePM® v3 Foundation introduces the principles, techniques and practices used in Agile project management. Updated to version 3 in November 2024, the course places increased emphasis on leadership, collaboration and effective stakeholder interaction.

You will explore the Agile Manifesto, Business Agility and how Agile approaches can help organisations respond to VUCA challenges. The course also covers Scrum values, roles, events and artefacts, as well as how Scrum integrates with Agile project management.

Learning Objectives

After completing the course, you will have gained an understanding of:

• The Agile mindset, Agile Manifesto and the eight AgilePM principles
• How agility can help organisations respond to change and deliver value in complex environments
• Scrum fundamentals and how Scrum aligns with the AgilePM framework
• The Agile project lifecycle, including iterative delivery and time-boxed development
• The roles and responsibilities within an Agile project team, including the Agile Project Manager, Business Sponsor, Technical Coordinator and team members
• Techniques for requirements prioritisation, estimation and planning, including MoSCoW
• Quality and risk management within an Agile project environment
• Stakeholder engagement, collaboration and communication throughout Agile project delivery

Course Format

The course is delivered through self paced eLearning, allowing you to study at a time and pace that suits you.

The estimated study time is approximately 24 hours.

Who Is This Course For?

The course is suitable for individuals who are, or will be, leaders or members of an Agile project team.

Prerequisites

You should have a working knowledge of Scrum before taking the AgilePM® v3 Foundation course and exam.

Exam and Certification

The AgilePM® v3 Foundation exam is optional and is not included in the course.

The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 40 minutes. It is a closed book exam and a score of at least 50% is required to pass.

Successful completion of the exam leads to the AgilePM® v3 Foundation certification.
