PRINCE2® Programme Management Foundation & Practitioner, formerly known as MSP® Foundation & Practitioner, combines both certification levels in one comprehensive eLearning programme.

About the Course

This combined course provides a structured introduction to PRINCE2 Programme Management before progressing to the practical application of the framework in different programme environments.

At Foundation level, you will develop an understanding of the key concepts, principles, themes and processes used to manage programmes and deliver transformational change.

At Practitioner level, you will build on this knowledge and learn how to apply and tailor the framework to specific programme scenarios and organisational contexts.

Learning Objectives

After completing the course, you will have developed your ability to:

• Understand the core principles, themes and processes of the PRINCE2 Programme Management framework
• Understand programme identification, definition, governance, roles and responsibilities throughout the programme lifecycle

Course Format

The course is delivered through self paced eLearning, allowing you to study at a time and pace that suits you.

The estimated study time for the complete Foundation and Practitioner programme is approximately 42 hours.

Who Is This Course For?

The course is suitable for programme managers and aspiring programme managers who want to develop both foundational and practical programme management skills.

It is also relevant for project managers, senior project managers, business change managers and professionals working in portfolio management, programme operations and other roles involved in managing complex organisational change.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for starting the Foundation level or taking the Foundation exam.

You must successfully complete the Foundation certification before taking the Practitioner exam.

Exams and Certification

Two certification exams are included in the course.

The Foundation exam consists of 60 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 60 minutes. It is a closed book exam and a score of at least 60% is required to pass.

The Practitioner exam consists of 58 questions with sub questions worth a total of 70 marks. It is an open book exam and must be completed within 150 minutes. A score of at least 60% is required to pass.

Successful completion of both exams leads to the PRINCE2® Programme Management Foundation and Practitioner certifications.
