Would you like to build a comprehensive understanding of the Praxis Framework™ and develop the ability to apply it in practice? The combined Foundation & Practitioner course covers the methodology, governance and lifecycle of project, programme and portfolio management, while developing your ability to use the framework in real world scenarios.

About the Course

The Praxis Framework™ is an integrated framework that combines knowledge, method, competence and capability maturity to support effective project delivery.

The Foundation level introduces the characteristics of projects and programmes, the purpose of the framework and the roles, documents, functions and processes used within P3M.

At Practitioner level, you will build on this knowledge and develop your ability to understand the relationships between roles, documents, functions, techniques and processes, apply them to different P3M scenarios and create and assess P3M documents.

After completing the course, you will have developed your understanding of:

• The characteristics and context of projects and programmes
• The benefits of effective project and programme management
• The purpose of the Praxis Framework™
• The roles, documents and functions used within P3M
• The goals and activities within the Praxis Framework™ process model
• The relationships between roles, documents, functions, techniques and processes
• How to apply the framework to different P3M scenarios
• How to create and assess P3M documents

Course Format

The course is delivered through self paced eLearning, allowing you to study at a time and pace that suits you.

The estimated study time is approximately 35 hours.

Who Is This Course For?

The course is suitable for Project and Programme Managers, as well as project or programme team members who want to progress into management roles.

It is also relevant for professionals interested in developing a career in P3M.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for taking the Foundation exam.

You must have passed the Foundation exam before taking the Practitioner exam.

Exams and Certification

The Foundation and Practitioner exams are optional and are not included in the course.

The Foundation exam is multiple choice and must be completed within 60 minutes. It is a closed book exam.

The Practitioner exam is multiple choice and must be completed within 150 minutes. It is an open book exam.

A score of at least 50% is required to pass each exam.

Successful completion of both exams leads to the Praxis Framework™ Foundation & Practitioner certifications.
