The Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is designed for experienced professionals who want to validate their project management knowledge, experience and competency.

About the Course

The course prepares you to work with a broad range of project management concepts, tools and techniques.

You will develop your ability to plan, manage and direct projects effectively, analyse inputs, tools and techniques from the PMBOK® Guide and identify risks that may affect project outcomes.

The course also supports your ability to contribute as a knowledgeable member of a project team and perform different project management roles within a PMO.

After completing the course, you will have developed your ability to:

• Perform different project management roles within a PMO
• Analyse inputs, tools and techniques in the PMBOK® Guide

Course Format

The course is delivered through self paced eLearning, allowing you to study at a time and pace that suits you.

The estimated study time is approximately 35 to 40 hours.

Who Is This Course For?

The course is suitable for experienced Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Programme Managers and Business Analysts.

Prerequisites

To meet the PMP® certification requirements, you need either:

• A four year degree, 36 months of project management experience and 35 hours of project management education
• A high school diploma, 60 months of project management experience and 35 hours of project management education

Exam and Certification

The PMP® exam is not included in the course and must be purchased directly through PMI.

The exam consists of 180 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 230 minutes.

The pass mark is determined by PMI.

Successful completion of the exam leads to the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.
