About the Course

The ISTQB Certified Tester Security Tester (CT-SEC) is an accredited programme focused on security testing across the software development lifecycle.

You will explore how security testing can be integrated from requirements and design through implementation, system testing, acceptance testing and maintenance.

Particular emphasis is placed on shifting security testing earlier in the development lifecycle and applying structured approaches that support more resilient software systems.

Prerequisites

Candidates must hold the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) qualification.

Three years of practical software testing experience is required.

The ISTQB Certified Tester Security Tester examination is included in the course.

Successful completion of the examination leads to the ISTQB Certified Tester Security Tester (CT-SEC) certification.

After completing CT-SEC, candidates may continue to further ISTQB qualifications such as Security Test Engineer or Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst.
