About the Course

This combined course covers both Foundation and Practitioner level knowledge in project planning and control.

You will learn how to create a clear project definition, plan and close projects, select appropriate scheduling techniques and monitor project performance. The course also covers record keeping, presentation of outputs and risk management throughout project planning, execution and evaluation.

Course Format

The course is delivered through self paced eLearning, allowing you to study at a time and pace that suits you.

The estimated study time is approximately 30 hours.

Who Is This Course For?

The course is suitable for professionals working with project planning, scheduling and control.

It is particularly relevant for Planning Managers and Engineers, Project Control Managers and Engineers, Cost Engineers and Project Managers.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for taking the Foundation exam.

A minimum of three years of planning experience is recommended for the Practitioner level. You must pass the Foundation certification before taking the Practitioner exam.

Exams and Certification

The Foundation and Practitioner exams are optional and are not included in the course.

The Foundation exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 40 minutes. It is a closed book exam and a score of at least 50% is required to pass.

The Practitioner exam consists of eight complex multiple choice questions and must be completed within 3 hours and 20 minutes. It is an open book exam and a score of at least 50% is required to pass.

Successful completion of both exams leads to the APMG International Project Planning and Control™ Foundation & Practitioner certifications.
